What is a Weld in Boss?
When the threads corrode on a diesel particulate filter’s NOx sensor, it usually means replacing the entire DPF assembly. This weld-in NOx boss repair lets you directly repair only the damaged threads to cut repair costs. This part is compatible with the all vehicles with a NOx sensor.
These are for a 20 x 1.5 mm sensor and have the correct step in them to allow the nut to tighten up.
Simply grind the old boss out or drill a hole near to the old one if the sensor will not budge. Pop the boss in, weld around the boss, and away you go.
These fit all NOX sensors as they are a universal fit, but will not fit lambda sensors.
